i sent out the invitations for my jewelry party this morning
I invited 22 people, hope everyone will come
it'll be from 5 to 7 pm, on June 9th, and happy hour style, with muchies and drinks

Jewelry party

I'm playing with the idea of doing a Jewelry party at my place, like the Tupperware ladies used to do, with exactly that as a theme...
We could use various shapes and sizes Tupperwares are jewelry displays, set it up in my kitchen, on the table, with a nice retro-ish table cover...

My sister and I would wear an apron, play 60s jazz and such, serve martinis...

I'm still wondering if its a delightfully cookie idea or just plain tacky, hence uninteresting...???

testing backgrounds

so i'm testing new backgrounds for my pictures...
i am a librarian hence i have access to tons of cool images to use as a background

this is what i normaly use : cardstock and plain crafting paper

in a previous post i put up some pictures of beaded flowers that had more catchy backgrounds, but still cardstock... (background images included M.O.M. sterling silver forks, cloud diagrams, a vintage chicago map) ...
i want my pictures to be original, of course
but are these too loud?
(i have to work on the flashbulb glare, i know...)

we both live dowtown and adore walking

fair this summer

so this summer i'll be doing my very first fair
its a street fair, with shows and animation, balloons and whatnot...
the merchants on that street take some of there stuff outside to sell, even the hair salon puts chairs out for on the spot haircuts, and there are tables available to anyone who has anything to sell...
so its quite eclectic, some artists, some face painters, some crafters, and the flea market tables as well...

here's the summery stuff i thought i could "mass produce" for the event
